BIELE MIESTA [BLANK SPACES]
is an innovative project aimed at bringing contemporary and high-quality concert music to the region of Upper Kysuce, where it had long been absent. The author of the concept, artistic director, and music curator is guitarist and publicist Ondrej Veselý, with the project organized under the auspices of the Kysuce Gallery in Oščadnica. The title refers to the “white spots” on the cultural map of Slovakia – places and audiences that deserve to discover music in its fullness and diversity. The festival makes use of the newly renovated Oščadnica Manor House and combines concerts with educational activities for local schools and the wider public.
The first edition featured three concerts with violinist Milan Paľa, guitarist Martin Krajčo, and the duo Andreja Bučko & Mária Kmeťková.

BIELE MIESTA [BLANK SPACES]
...is also an initiative that seeks to bring color to the cultural map by organizing concert interventions in areas where cultural events are rare. Another strand of the project is the effort to interweave local artists – photographers and visual artists, including representatives of the fine arts. By integrating their work into the festival’s identity and outputs, the project created an intermedia resonance between Slovak concert music and the local art community.
The festival’s visual identity was designed by Michaela Baďžgoňová, with visual works by Mira Kučišová. The featured photographers were Alžbeta Bobulová (1st and 2nd concerts) and Erika Šuranská (3rd concert).
